99 years after its founding, Debbas Group is proud to participate in the re-emergence of its birth place:  Beirut Souks, which includes the original location of "Le Grand Magazin d’Electricité" in Souk El Jamil. The incredible renaissance of Beirut Souks is a crucial step in the revival of Beirut’s central district and a confirmation of Lebanon’s eagerness to transcend the scars of 15 years of devastation. 

Strategically recreated along the pre-roman street grid of central Beirut, the Souks will become the shopping, hospitality and entertainment hub of Lebanon and the entire region. With 163 010 square meters of floor space interspersed among 17 307 square meters of landscaped pedestrian areas, the newly opened retail center will progressively host boutiques in the hundreds, a department store, office facilities, restaurants, cafés and food courts as well as a 14 cinema complex and a children’s museum.

This Solidere project will be the centerpiece of Beirut’s splendor due in part to a group of Lebanese and international award winning architects who worked on the design and execution of the project.

Debbas Group supplied the project with a comprehensive range of lighting solutions from its diverse spectrum of high end lighting products including Zumtobel, Bega, Boom, Simes, Concord, Reggiani, Regent, Antrox, Samode, Swarovski and Reiss. Also, Debbas’s contracting unit, Debbas Entreprise, provided Beirut Souks with effective Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing systems.
